We got home at 2:15pm on Tuesday the 10th. We unhooked the car seat from its base, walked into the house, and started life at home with Nellie-Anne.
She slept for most of the afternoon. Because of the transition she was no longer on her feeding schedule. She slept longer than I had expected. And then came bedtime.
Little miss had no intentions of sleeping last night. We’re both trying to figure things out with her being home. She doesn’t like sleeping in her bassinet. I think there is too much room for her. So, we put her Mumbelli bed inside the bassinet and she did a little better.
We were up all night long. Between trying to get her to eat and sleep I felt like it was never-ending. And it was. Bryan had to be at work at 5am and still got up with her at 2:00 to feed her.
After he left this mama needed some rest so I decided to bring her into bed with me. Not my first choice, but I had to try something.
I’m now on day 2 is trying to write this post. Because that’s my life now. And I’m okay with it.
We had a little bit of a rough day after daddy left for work. Little missy was VERY tired and so was I. But we made it…until 12:30 when Bry got back. Then, I handed her over and I took a 2 hour nap. It was glorious.
I know this will get easier over time. And as she gets used to her new surrounding it won’t be as hard on her. And even after everything I would do day 1 all over again with her.
